Giving Thanks Potluck & Barter Blanket Activity

We invite you to our Giving Thanks Potluck and Barter Blanket Activity. This year we are running two barter sessions, one for kids and one for adults, with a community potluck in between. Bring a dish to share, bring items to trade in a bag, and get ready for some fun.

Afternoon schedule

What to bring

  • A dish to share, with the ingredients labeled
  • Barter items in a bag. Kids have brought games, books, baked goods, homemade items, and outgrown toys. Adults have brought walking sticks, freezers, solar ovens, books, and even services like haircuts. Be creative.

Free, all ages welcome, donations appreciated. Sunday, November 22, 4 to 7 PM at Observer Ranch, 4509 CO Road 123, Penrose.

On-site parking at the ranch is free. Follow the event signage when you arrive and our team will point you to the lot.

Can I stay overnight at the ranch?

Yes. Observer Ranch has A-frame cabins, planet-themed campers, and full-hookup RV sites right on the property. Book your stay separately so you can wake up steps from the event.

What should I bring?

Comfortable layers for changing mountain weather. This page lists anything specific to bring for the event, like a dish to share.

Is the venue accessible?

We want everyone to enjoy the ranch. If you have accessibility needs or questions, contact us before the event and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need a ticket?

No. These community events are free to attend, and donations are appreciated. Registering ahead of time helps us plan for the right number of people.
