Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us for a magical Winter Solstice Celebration. This free community gathering is open to all: bring your family, friends, and loved ones for an evening of warmth and connection. Make an ornament, share a bowl of soup, and try your luck in the White Elephant gift exchange.

What to bring

  • A soup or dish to share for the potluck
  • A wrapped item valued at $10 to $15 for the White Elephant gift exchange
  • Your creativity for ornament making. Hang your ornament on the Observer Ranch tree or take it home as a gift.

When should I arrive?

Plan to arrive a little before the start time so you can park and settle in without rushing. The schedule on this page lists when each part of the evening begins.

Where do I park?

On-site parking at the ranch is free. Follow the event signage when you arrive and our team will point you to the lot.

Can I stay overnight at the ranch?

Yes. Observer Ranch has A-frame cabins, planet-themed campers, and full-hookup RV sites right on the property. Book your stay separately so you can wake up steps from the event.

What should I bring?

Comfortable layers for changing mountain weather. This page lists anything specific to bring for the event, like a dish to share.

Is the venue accessible?

We want everyone to enjoy the ranch. If you have accessibility needs or questions, contact us before the event and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need a ticket?

No. These community events are free to attend, and donations are appreciated. Registering ahead of time helps us plan for the right number of people.
